Paula Patton is an actress and producer best known for her starring roles in the action spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the romantic film Precious. As a young girl, Paula Patton was raised in a Los Angeles middle-class household. She was raised by her mother who loved to watch films. Paula was active with her school's cocurricular activities and especially captivated by drama. Paula loved acting with friends, and she participated in school stage performances. She performed in numerous high school plays at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and then decided to pursue acting as a profession. Through a program for summer offered by the University of Southern California, she thoroughly enjoyed her time there. The program gave her a three month task to produce documentaries for PBS. As soon as she completed the three-month assignment successfully the first task was working in the production department for television documentaries. After completing her assignment, she started producing documentary films. Her work was rewarding however, she always wanted to pursue a career as an actor. The romantic comedies Hitch she played a tiny part with Will Smith. In the years since she's been in a variety of films and television shows.
