StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican-American actress. Her breakthrough role was in the 2011 Mexican crime drama film Miss Bala. Her next roles were Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). On television, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both series. Sigman was born to a Mexican mother and an American dad, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. By virtue of her father, she's legally a U.S. citizen. [2][3][4] Her father, the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. She began her career on Mexican television before she made her film debut in Rio de Oro. She played Laura Guerrero, the lead in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. 6] The Mexican entry for Best Foreign Language Film was chosen at the 84th Academy Awards. [7][8] But it did not get to the shortlist. For her performance in the film, Sigman was nominated in 2011 for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award.
