Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen, born 6 May 1964 is a Danish actor. He is Danish and has appeared as Troels Hartmann who is Copenhagen's mayoral candidate in The Killing. [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen was the third series of Sherlock. Viktor Petrov, the Russian president, was also played by the character in the American House of Cards. Star Wars Rebels featured Grand Admiral Thrawn as Thrawn. He was presented with the Reumert Prize of Honour in 2011. At the age of 27, he enrolled at National Theatre School of Denmark. He graduated from the school in 1995. Apart from his performance in The Killing, [1] he also appeared in Borgen III, a Danish drama series that was critically acclaimed. He also had a leading role in an episode of BBC drama Sherlock as the blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen.In the American TV show House of Cards, he played the role of President Russia. He was awarded an International Emmy Award in 2018 for his part in Danish television drama Herrens Veje. The show aired in the UK in 2019 under the name Ride Upon the Storm
